	This is a step-by-step guide for setting up a proper Illustrator file from scratch with the correct image specifications.
Step 1. Launch the Illustrator application. Choose File > New (Ctrl-N) to create a new artboard. Size the image by setting width to 91mm and height to 53mm (as shown below in Figure.1) [Figure.1] Step 2. Make a Box Click on the Square Marque Tool in the toolbar. Next make a box the size of the artboard. (as shown below in Figure.2) Then go to Object > Crop Area > Make to create Crop Marks. [Figure.2] Step 3. Make Crop Marks Your Artboard should now look like the example below and you can go ahead and create your design inside the marks. Save Finished Artwork After you design your business card you are ready to save your file. Choose File > Export and choose TIFF format, High Resolution, Anti-Alias, and choose LZW compression.
