	This is a step-by-step guide for setting up a proper Corel file from scratch with the correct image specifications.
Step 1. Launch the Corel application. Step 2. Size Info Create a new document by selecting File > New (Ctrl+N). Click on the Paper Type / Size drop down menu in the settings tab located at the top of the application interface and choose Custom. Next go to the Units drop down menu and select Inches. Then choose the " Landscape" icon for orientation. Finally enter the business card dimensions: 3.58"in for width and 2.08"in for height. Be sure to press "Enter" after entering each value. (See Figure.1 below). [Figure.1] Step 3. Design Inside the Lines Go ahead and design your card, but remember to leave room to cut. Guides - Its a good idea to make guides for yourself, apprx 1/8th (38px) in inside of the edge for guides.(Illustrated by the blue lines squares in Figure.2). [Figure.2] Step 4. Saving Finished Artwork When you are finished with your design and ready to save, go to File / Publish to PDF. On the save dialog box click on the Settings button as shown below. [Figure.3] Once you are in Settings, click on the PrePress tab and make sure all options in this tab are unchecked as shown below. [Figure.4] Then go to the Advanced tab next to it and be sure Output all objects as is set to CMYK as shown below. Click Ok when finished and continue saving your file. [Figure.5]
